Mutual Aid Fridges

Volunteer opportunities abound at our local fridges.
Responsibilities include:
making meals, rescuing meals from local restaurants and institutions, cleaning the fridge, helping with outreach and more.


The Friendly Fridge BX
Location:
Manhattan College Parkway, one block West of Broadway at 242nd Street

Mission:
The first community fridge in the Bronx, rescues & redirects food into the community through outreach & action.
The Friendly Fridge BX receives redirected prepared meals almost every day with most arriving:
Tuesdays & Wednesday afternoons after 1 pm
Thursday afternoon after 2 pm and Fridays around 1 pm
